Interview with Bartosz Siminski – founder of Haergi

Bartosz Siminski – SAP trainer, entrepreneur, programmer, consultant, passionate about modern technology and technical innovation. Founder and CEO of Haergi. Creator of solutions for HR. Previously involved in dozens of projects at home and abroad.

Who is your inspiration?

I am inspired by hard-working people. In the area of productivity and automation, this is certainly Elon Musk, who has successfully transferred ways of working from IT projects to the automotive and space industries.

In relation to others, my authority is Wladyslaw Bartoszewski, who teaches me that it is worthwhile to help the weak, because it defines who we actually are.

You have extensive experience of delivering a variety of projects for large and very large companies. You like ambitious challenges?

Working under time pressure on difficult topics is something that motivates me. That’s why I enjoy taking on issues that others describe as challenging. Short deadlines make me give 110%, and this often defines the difference between success and failure.

Tell us about your company. Why Haergi? How did it all start?

HAERGI came about as a natural progression of what I had been doing for years. Many companies recruit professionals on B2B contracts, adding their logo, and that’s how I did my job for years. Eventually, I became convinced that I could easily do things on my own and that’s how Haergi came about.

What services do you offer? How do you help HR departments in their daily work?

We are intensively developing the idea of a paperless company, so we create products that enable a full transition to the digital world. We deliver these to both HR/FI departments and the employees who use them.

Our products include e-File, e-Applications, e-Fund and e-Invoice.

Do you create products just for HR??

Although we come from HR we also operate in the financial area. Undoubtedly, digital transformation is affecting most departments in today’s companies and will continue very rapidly.

Tell us more about the projects you have carried out. Which ones were the most inspiring? Which ones are you proud of?

There were many such projects, the most interesting ones were those with high technical requirements. As an example, I can give the typing of custom formulas for KPIs. Other challenges were algorithms for electronic signatures in the eIDAS standard, built from scratch on the basis of RFC standards, or creating our own PDF documents from scratch on the basis of Adobe documentation. As a result, with each such topic we learn a great deal about the foundations of the technology we use and expand our service capabilities.

Who is on your team?

Our team includes both experienced people in the industry and juniors who are just entering the job market. We try to combine experience with a junior point of view. Each of these groups gives unique value, with knowledge and experience from large projects on the one hand, and a passion for new technologies and access to market trends on the other.

What do you think is the determinant of a successful digital transformation in a company?

It is certainly the amount of paper that disappeared from the company after the launch of our products. If there is none, then the transformation has been successful and that is what we are aiming for.

Are you open to working with partners?

Of course, we are happy to collaborate where we can complement each other’s expertise. In many cases, we form interdisciplinary teams by sharing knowledge and ideas. A good team and collaboration is essential.

What are your plans and goals for the future? What direction will Haergi take?

Our emphasis is on building our own products related to digitisation in general, which gives our clients unique value. We create products from scratch, delving into every technical detail so that their subsequent service and maintenance is simple for us and gives customers the certainty of fast and effective service.

What other interests do you have that you enjoy?

Beyond programming, there are many – rollerblading, watching the progress of Starship construction. Artificial intelligence and AR/VR technologies.

Thank you for the interview.
