There have been many questions and discussions on the internet, on economic portals and also on government websites about the new invoicing system, KSeF. Is it really more convenient than the traditional one? There have been opinions among the online communities that it will create many difficulties and responsibilities for companies. However, there are a few important elements that will make the entrepreneur relieved and their responsibilities will just shift to KSeF.
E-invoice in SAP – Why it’s worth it?
Currently, the entrepreneur is responsible for storing invoices. However, at the beginning of 2022, the rules have changed. KSeF will take over all responsibility for their storage!
The SAP National e-Invoice System will store structured invoices for at least 10 years, starting from the end of the year in which they were issued.Another benefit of online invoicing is the possibility of receiving a faster VAT refund. Previously, the waiting period was up to 60 days, but this year, all entrepreneurs using KSeF can expect a faster VAT refund, even within 40 days. Also key is the fact that a trader in 2022 is exempt from the obligation to send JPK_FA files on request to the tax authorities.
It is also worth mentioning the convenience we gain from using the new system. Above all, it protects documents from being destroyed or lost, as everything remains in the MF database. The situation is completely different when filling out invoices in the traditional way, which in the chaos may disappear among other documents on the desk or be destroyed by external factors. The new SAP e-Invoice will also not require a duplicate to be issued, and the entrepreneur will be able to use it to automatically post documents.
What the future brings?
The use of KSeF in 2022 is voluntary, but it is likely to become mandatory from 2024, so it makes sense to start looking for the right software provider now.
