What is an electronic stamp? How does it differ from a qualified electronic signature? In which cases is it useful and how much does it cost? We have decided to answer these and many other questions that most frequently bother new users of the electronic stamp.
The Electronic Signature – What is it?
The electronic signature is used by organizations to seal documents, important data, correspondence, invoices, regulations and various other materials. It serves as the digital equivalent of the traditional company and official stamp. The most important feature of the seal is that it does not hold any personal data, including the PESEL number – only the TIN can be found there. With it, we only display the details of the company which is included in the seal certificate. Thanks to this procedure, no person or their data will be linked to a specific document.
Qualified electronic signature and electronic signature – differences
The distinction between these two signatures is extremely simple. Well, a qualified electronic signature contains the signatory’s personal data and it is thanks to it that we can sign all important documents – it allows us to verify the identity of the person signing. An electronic signature has a completely different function. As mentioned earlier, it does not contain any personal data and is only used to authenticate the documents of a given company – it contains the full name of the entity and a number uniquely identifying the entity.
When you need an e-signature?
An electronic signature will reassure the recipient that the document was created in the company. It will also streamline your work and ensure the secure circulation of documents within the company, without the use of traditional methods and unnecessary paperwork. An electronic signature is also useful if you have a large team, as it can be used by many people at the same time.

How much does it cost?
The price of an electronic signature for companies ranges from PLN 1,000 to over PLN 2,000 net.
Where can I get an e-signature for my company?
Your company can apply for such a seal online or at a certification point. This requires a declaration to be made and signed by one of the representatives of the company concerned. If the application is made online, the document must be signed using a qualified electronic signature that will allow verification of the identity of the person authorised to represent your company.
